Welcome to About B&B Valpolicella – the story behind Mimosa e Lillà. My name is Giampaolo. As a lifelong camper at heart, I've always loved traveling and discovering new places — until I fell in love with this corner of the Valpolicella. That passion led to Mimosa e Lillà: a way to share everything I love about this land with our guests, with tailor-made itineraries and an attention to detail I hope you can feel from the very first moment.
One kilometer from the northern ring-road exit, at the foot of the Fumane hills, the property sits in the heart of the Valpolicella, with views over vineyards and olive groves. It's a wooden house, built according to eco-building principles and rated A4 energy class: natural materials and low-consumption systems come together to create a healthy space, not just for my family, but for our guests too.
From your very first step inside, the atmosphere is welcoming: the exposed wood, a living material, gives off a sense of well-being that's hard to describe until you experience it. The spacious portico is the informal heart of the day — breakfast is served here in summer, and it's where guests often stop at the end of the day, perhaps with a glass of Amarone, watching the hills change color.
In the colder months, breakfast moves to the Stube, a cozy room that keeps its warmth even when it's chilly outside — our little refuge in the heart of the Valpolicella winter.
Natural materials, healthier air, a stable temperature all year round: eco-building isn't just an aesthetic choice — it's a concrete way to offer a healthier stay, both for our guests and for those who live here year-round.
Nellie, our dog, and Ivi, our cat, also live in the house. If you're traveling with a small dog, we're happy to welcome them too — just let us know at the time of booking, so we can prepare everything to make them feel at home as well.
